The invisible problem

Don't let good food go bad

Ripening produce naturally releases ethylene gas. This gas builds up and accelerates ripening, causing greens to wilt and berries to go soft. The Fridgie soaks it up.

A crate of fresh fruits and vegetables

Natural minerals do the work

Inside each Fridgie is a packet of volcanic minerals that absorbs ethylene and turns it into harmless water and carbon dioxide. The same tech farms use, shrunk down for your home.

Zero effort, no mess

No charging, no daily steps. Drop it where you keep produce and forget it. The reusable Fridgie case keeps the packet tidy.

One packet lasts up to 6 months

When it is spent, it just stops working. Swap it twice a year. The old granules are non-toxic and safe for soil.

Getting started

How to use your Fridgie

Four steps and you are done. Small, cute, and completely forgettable. While you're living life, Fridgie's in there quietly doing its thing.

1

Load the packet

Take a fresh packet out of its clear wrapper and drop it in. Do not tear the packet itself.

2

Close until it clicks

Press the two pieces together until they click. The vents do the rest.

3

Place it with produce

Crisper drawer, storage bin, or fruit bowl. The Fridgie works best in enclosed spaces.

4

Refresh every 6 months

Swap the packet twice a year. Don't want to track it yourself? Set your reminder up top, we're happy to help.

Hard to open? That is on purpose.

The Fridgie is built tough so kids and pets cannot get into the packet. To open it, squeeze both ends so the lock releases, then push the lid open with your thumb. Still stuck? Work a dull butter knife gently into the edge.

Your starter kit

Two ways to load it

Your kit comes with two Fridgie cases and four absorber packets. Use one packet per case to stretch freshness across the year, or two per case for maximum absorption.

What's in your starter kit: two sealed pouches, four ethylene absorber packets (20g each, last up to 6 months), and two reusable Fridgie cases. How to use it: the one year strategy places one packet in each Fridgie, or the six month approach places two packets in each Fridgie for maximum effectiveness, for up to 12 months of produce freshness protection.

The perfect gift for anyone who hates throwing out spoiled food

Every kit is two Fridgie cases and four absorber packets, up to a year of coverage. Comes in blue, green, or yellow.

The one rule that changes everything

Keep these two groups apart.

Some produce gives off ripening gas. Store it next to the wrong neighbor and that neighbor spoils faster. Tap any item to see what to keep it away from.

Give off ripening gas

Spoil faster nearby

Tap any item to see which neighbors make it spoil faster.

Can't keep them apart? That's exactly where the Fridgie helps most. When these have to share a drawer, the Fridgie soaks up the gas they'd otherwise trade.

Your storage cheat sheet

How to best store (almost) every type of produce

Backed by USDA and university research, this guide covers everything you need to know about maximizing your groceries:

  • Where to store specific items
  • When to wash them
  • What to keep them away from
  • How long they typically last
The science of freshness

While the dates below are standard freshness windows, ripening produce naturally releases ethylene gas. As this gas builds up, it accelerates the spoilage of everything nearby. One bad apple really can spoil the bunch.

A Fridgie actively absorbs this ethylene, extending the peak freshness of most items by days (and sometimes weeks), depending on the produce and your storage conditions.

Nothing in this filter. Try another.

Straight talk

What the Fridgie can and can't do

We would rather earn your trust than oversell. Here's the honest version.

What it does

  • Absorbs ethylene gas in an enclosed space, which slows ripening of the produce nearby.
  • Works best in a crisper drawer, a closed bin, or a covered bowl where the gas concentrates.
  • Helps most when high producers and sensitive items have to share space.

Where it has limits

  • It slows ripening, it does not stop it. Nothing makes produce last forever.
  • It is not a replacement for keeping your fridge cold. Temperature matters most of all.
  • It cannot rescue produce that is already overripe or bruised, and the ethylene-absorbing granules lose their effectiveness over time.
